You have just described a negative increase rate in your income, year over year. But if I told you that your negative increase rate was only 5% from 2024 to 2025, the rate in the decrease of your income would have improved, but your income would still be worse than it was in either 2023 or 2024.

I can’t know that without the current growth rate is. If the current growth rate is 20% (as it has frequently been in California), then a negative 10% change of the growth rate of would still mean prices are skyrocketing. But you know this.
