Our identity isn’t just personal. It’s politicised and socialised, so you can’t always separate you from what you do. Supervision allows you an opportunity to slow down and reflect on the ways in which who you are and what you do intersects.

When schools lack cultural competence, insufficient support and response occurs. This increases safeguarding concerns and a child’s wellbeing is impacted. #culturalcompetencematters

Ok, BlueSky, no point having the app if I am not going to use it. So here’s me using it… My favourite way to unwind after a long week/day is:
- chocolate
- little dance
- watch or listen to something funny

In that order. What’s your favourite way to unwind?

PSA:That emotion you’re trying to ignore, that you suppress, it’s the driving force behind your thoughts & reactions.
In education setting:that child that's triggering you, is poking that emotion. Use supervision to give it space & time, so you are responsive & intentional, not reactive & avoidant.
