After one very rough year, we decided to put it up last weekend and just try and get festive early. Sometimes you just need to enjoy the moment. 🎄🎅

Definitely enjoyed the series, though It did become a bit of a slog about half way through, Brandon Sanderson did a really good job on the last 3 books. Overall I would recommend people reading the Wheel of Time series at least once.

The Karen Travis Halo books where good, but her Gears of War books where totally next league,

Well considering the low sales for Gears of War Reloaded on PS5, I really have to wonder if this is true or company directed BS. Don't get me wrong, I'm one of those who bought it for PS5 and loved it, but the anti MS sentiment among many PS gamers will be hard to push aside.

Which ironically brings us full circle to XB1, again, MS is ignoring the fans, going non exclusive and pushing the digital only concept, can't help but think they are heading for a crash and burn scenario.
November 24, 2025 at 1:55 PM
By Xmas 06 Gears of War was launching, Lost Planet and many more titles were releasing and the 360 was reaching for the stratosphere as a gaming console, something MS have not really achieved since, which is a shame as their hardware is great, a bigger push on Xbox only titles would have helped.
November 24, 2025 at 1:55 PM
That's a really hard call, both had some really good launch games, unfortunately the XB1 launch was an absolute disaster as MS focused on what they decided fans wanted and not what was actually wanted, something they never really recovered from.

To be honest, for the majority of gamers it's simple maths, inflation is rising faster than wages, price of living is rising, £80 - £90 games are just too expensive, like many I now buy a couple of new releases and wait for sales for the rest.

I believe it was the Danes who said it best, they described their system as ethical capitalism, more money means more taxes which are in turn used to provide better services, ironically in UK taxes rise continously and the services get worse, probably because we are little better than a mini America
November 10, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Unfortunately the UK is following the US down the same path and the same right wing dimwits are following millionaire politicians down the capitalist rabbit hole while Socialist crazies alienate everyone who is not 100% with them, we really need to centralise politics and restrain capitalism asap.
November 10, 2025 at 9:11 AM
As for the Nazi name, let's be honest, having seen the video footage and pictures of many right wing US groups, the real Nazis would have looked at them as Untermensch, and used them as wall fodder. 2/3
November 10, 2025 at 9:11 AM
Personally feel that your Republican party is less Nazi and more just proof that unrestrained capitalism is insanity. Realistically America's identity is capitalist and majority see Socialism as evil, probably not totally wrong either, What we really need is a sort of hybrid Socialist/Capitalist 1/3
