Salute for Elizabeth G Oyer! In 2022 she became the first former public defender to be appointed federal pardon attorney. She was fired March 7, 2025 for recommending not restoring gun rights to a convicted domestic abuser. #womenshistory

I salute Jessica D Aber! An assistant US attorney since 2009, for Virginia, she was confirmed by the US Senate to be *the* US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in October, 2021. She resigned in January 2025 and was found dead on March 22, 2025 age 43. #womenshistory

Vera Rubin was an American astronomer who studied the rotation of galaxies. The surprises she uncovered were foundational evidence of dark matter. The Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile was renamed for her and for equal treatment of women in science. #womeninSTEM #womenshistory
