I just finished and I’m absolutely sobbing so be prepared for that epilogue because wow does it get you harder than anything. It got me so bad.

I aspire to be on his level of hater

100%! And if we make those passes/decide on those plays, we need to be sure that we can do it and not get one yard on something like that. That’s basically a loss of a play for no reason.

100%! Not going for it there is basically saying we don’t have enough faith in our team to get 3 inches on a play. We’re basically giving up.

I absolutely agree with you! Running backs are coming back in the run game has become more important. However, in the Steelers organization, we don’t have anyone that can do that so if we have the ability to throw the ball and make those catches better than running we should focus more on that.

They also have future Hall of Fame running backs. We unfortunately don’t have that. I mean the Saquon Barkley backwards leap over a man? Yeah we’ll be lucky if we see anyone who could possibly do that in the next 20 years come to our organization.

I think that’s my main thing as well. Watching the game last night and the difference between the first and second half was mind-boggling. We barely threw the ball in the first half but when we started throwing the ball things happened. This isn’t a run game anymore in the NFL. We need to evolve.

I’m not too sure because considering he makes them practice in full pads on Friday and have a practice Saturday, I wouldn’t say he’s too friendly with the players. However, a good coach does also know when to step away from the friendliness so maybe there’s a line that’s not being drawn?

And yes, I do believe that if they ever did let Tom go, he would be hired with a snap of his fingers. I don’t think there are many organizations that would pass him by if they could.
January 12, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Hey, I mean every team has to go through rebuilding at some point in the organization so the Jets are just doing that now unfortunately. I think the Steelers are definitely in the middle of it as well but it’s just a weird time because we’re still winning, but we’re not great if that makes sense.

You can overcome losses, bad plays, all the things that come with not doing so great on the field, but to have such a leadership quality I think is really rare and not something you can teach everybody.
January 12, 2025 at 5:22 PM
The fact that they really haven’t been you know player complaints or organizational complaints or anything of the sort from him in 18 years really speaks volumes to me. People want to come to Pittsburgh for the organization, and Tomlin is a part of that.
January 12, 2025 at 5:21 PM
I’ve always liked him and you know I’ve never quite understood the hate for him totally. I know that sounds a bit weird as we have it. Wanna playoff game in eight years however, the way that he presents himself has always made me think he was a good leader. I value off the field just as much as on.
January 12, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Yeah, after the fourth down and inches that they didn’t go on it was pretty much decided after that. If you can’t get 2 inches on a play, I don’t think you deserve to be in the playoffs. And I love my Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately I still think that title goes to the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense
