It’s been amazing to watch my children’s awareness of and empathy for others grow as they’ve learned to read. I wish more adults would open a book and expose themselves to more things. Maybe there’d be less fear of difference.

Today my oldest asked where babies come from. Is it weird I felt shamed by her horror at realizing what her father and I have done? 😂
