Yet, the Recent Content page is not updating. And they are peddling this misinformation IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT.

There are NO real s46 review rights for validity of #NDIS debts. Only unofficial internal review. Because we gave them hell about the former.

You cannot appeal that outcome.

I've looked out at Gran so often, as the dam dried up and the rain didn't come.

As my own coping resources were stretched to breaking point, and beyond.

She refused to succumb.

The dam is full again, for now. Ducklings swim in her shadow. And she says: Don't discount me. 💚

Little bit slow, FOI. They beat you to it.

24% of the 475 reviewed debts against #NDIS participants revoked so far, per start of 🧵.

The Agency got related advice in May 2023. Didn't brief the Board on it until September 2024, according to the ANAO report.

The bill passed 22 August 2025.

Another gem quietly published on the anniversary of the #NDIS Bill's passage amidst warnings of foreseeable harm & procedural unfairness the Minister dismissed as fearmongering.

Expect eligibility questions at planning meetings, & reassessments if you choke on answers - or planner vibes, I guess? 🧐

Here's the NDIS debt review summary quietly published on Friday. Still doesn't show in Recent Updates on Sunday.

Link at bottom says you can ask nicely for an unofficial reconsideration.

Deja vu, hey @squigglyrick.bsky.social. Only, no ART this time.

Miles Browne from VLA said in 2024: “Well, in #Robodebt, at least people could seek a review of their debt.”

NDIA: Deflects the need to dispute validity of #NDIS debts BEFORE the bill passes. Annual report then admits reviewing historical debts.

24% of historic participant debts revoked.

I gave DSS a nod for having the Easy Read ready for this round of 'consultation' on NDIS Supports.

I retract that. It isn't accessible if it's this dishonest.

This thread and the NDIA declining to exercise their right of reply to our June 2024 submission hit differently in the context of the ANAO report.

And yet the NDIA waited until almost a week after public submissions closed to confirm no reply would be coming.

Nothing to see here.

And the NDIA indeed has convenient permission to disclose personal information about participants.

Who never have the same legal or media power to test the Agency's fact-checking.

This email was sent to the NDIA & their lawyer on 25/6/25.

Comparing the HRV data to the week Paxlovid JUST kept me out of hospital, after months of fatigue this extreme.

Hygiene has cost too much, let alone the ability to present my case.

What would YOU expect of Model Litigants here? #Auspol

What about rural/regional/remote people, though? Because the NDIA is basically saying that if this person can't travel, they can't have therapy unless someone else needs the same therapist, skillset, experience in their disabilities, frequency.

40min each way for me vs extra session in clinic? 🤷‍♀️

This.

Funnily enough, we were finishing this submission that same week.

It was never listed in the first report because it invoked NDIA right of reply. It was in confidence for five weeks of a media firestorm.

They decided not to reply AFTER submissions to the second inquiry closed.

Let us be clear: This is one of the harms Labor risks with continued pursuit of rushed, reckless, problematic changes to the NDIS in the name of 'savings.'

They were warned.

Slowing down slightly isn't enough without major amendments to the deadly legislation that passed last year.

“In support of the Tribunal’s objective to improve the transparency and quality of government decision-making, I would suggest that the Agency’s decision-making would be improved by implementing clear risk assessment procedures.”

All that $ on lawyers > proper risk assessments...

Just me, sitting in the dirt on #IWD pondering CH’s 🧐 on that “minimising hardship” line.

Much like how the #NDIS rule meant to implement my #CRPD rights revoked them & created ⬆️ barriers to my economic participation as a disabled rural woman instead.

This Bronwyn? Formerly of DVA? Who argued that NDIS debts simply exist, arising from a series of (highly subjective) facts which cannot possibly amount to a decision that ought to be reviewable?

One expects DSS should approach statutory interpretation according to objects of Acts they administer.

From the explanatory statement re consultation (but not in the rule):

1) Specifically, will agency mgmt BE the unreasonable risk?

2) Specifically, has non-compliance/misuse been established, or just accusations?

The answer to 2): We still have no s46 review rights to argue our innocence.

#AutSky, which accommodations have you had honoured for legal proceedings if disclosing #Autism, #ADHD or #AuDHD accessibility needs?

Have courts complied with Article 13 of the #CRPD for you?

How did it impact your case, especially if about #disability supports?

“As a compliance unit,” Taylor wrote, “we should not be the ones stealing from our customers.”

Ironic that I pulled that from an editorial in which Bill himself quoted Colleen Taylor.

A month after ramming the #NDIS bill through without review rights to challenge the validity of debts.

That last sentence feels ominous.

Are we going to be denied assessment by our own treating professionals for access/eligibility reassessment as well as the "Not Independent Assessments 2.0, we promise" needs assessments?

Just create appropriate #Medicare rebates! Honestly...

7/7 (end 🧵):

Our submission is a primer on why the gov tried to dismiss concerns of #Robodebt parallels by focusing on lack of automation rather than addressing our concerns.

Robodebt strategies + harms were SO MUCH more than that.

@squigglyrick.bsky.social's 👌🔥 book #MeanStreak goes much deeper.

6/🧵:

Do I think they have understood this lesson?

No. Definitely not.

I will keep doing my part as an advocate.

The #Auspol media needs to SUBSTANTIALLY lift their game and do theirs properly.

The rorting narrative used to sell these reforms (per Redbridge FOIs) caused people so much harm.
