On Saturday, April 19th, Alicia passed peacefully in hospice. I am forever grateful to her sister Ashley for allowing me time to say goodbye. 🕊️💐

I have grieved her absence since her accident in 2009 in copious different ways: not only for those of us fortunate enough to have loved her, but for those who had not yet had the honor of meeting her.

Alicia was one of, if not 𝙩𝙝𝙚 kindest, smartest, and most vibrant people I’ve ever met. There is no doubt in my mind she would have made an incredible impact on this world had she been given more time.

just to get a refund of the difference in the room I booked versus the room I got,
& another 30 mins on the phone with IHG (whom I won’t hear back from for another 2 days). Plus, we’ve had better experiences at other hotels nearby. Lesson learned.

If you’re going to Disneyland, I’d recommend you avoid booking anything through Chase Travel, & avoid the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim. We will be - I spent over 45 mins in the phone with Chase (whom I won’t hear back from for 7 days)

This means you may get put into their cheapest, smallest room instead. Why would Chase offer the option to book a larger room if they aren’t going to send the details to the hotel so I get put into the room I paid for? This makes absolutely no sense.

They acted like leaders while Vanessa blamed others. Vanessa claimed Chase Travel does not provide room details in their bookings. This means you could pay for the largest/most expensive room in a hotel, but according to Vanessa, Chase Travel doesn’t tell the hotel the specifics of the room booked.

I understand they only have the power to do so much, especially with someone like Vanessa as their leader, but my husband & I really appreciated their attempts to make the experience better. In my complaint, I made sure to commend their customer service.

The front desk agents Millaray & Sandra, however, were wonderful, & did their best to clean up (what thus far appears to be) Vanessa’s mess. (And they are both new to their jobs! <1 month).

Regardless of the outcome, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim General Manager, Vanessa Feliciano, was incredibly rude & refused to take any responsibility for what thus far appears was a mistake she made when reading (or failing to read?) our reservation.
