When I trimmed the quilt, I cut it too small to fit on the artist’s canvas I intended to use—d’oh! So I built my own frame for the first time and I’m pleased with the result.

I finished a new mini quilt! The center circle is monoprinted and hand-dyed, and I used neon yellow and lavender thread to quilt it. #quiltsky #modernquilt #mountedquilt

Everything is shit but the emotional support needlepoint kits I ordered from the UK arrived in time for my upcoming QuiltCon travel.
The image shows five colorful needlepoint tapestry kits. One called “Ginger Cat” shows an abstract orange tabby cat standing amidst flowers and foliage. My creative motivation tends to dip this time of year. With no energy to work on quilts, I find myself drawn to handheld projects that involve yarn. This year’s wintering activity is needlepoint, and today I’m finishing a trio of vintage Bucilla ornaments (kit no. 60566).
