Cannot stop thinking about how Octavia Butler wrote a book in 1993 about climate change. It opens with deadly fires in LA in 2025. In the story, a fascist President has just won office with the campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."

She was a modern day Nostradamus. If only we'd listened.

News Analysis: Donald Trump on Friday became the first former, and future, U.S. president to be sentenced for a crime. The question now is whether the label "felon" — a word with 900 years of historical baggage — will actually tarnish Trump.
A Mark of Shame for 900 Years. Until Now?

I want to wish a particularly Happy Thanksgiving to those whose memories extend all the way back to pre-Election Day

You can learn a lot about our new POTUS just by looking at, I dunno, everything he's ever done and remembering that he's a career criminal, rapist, con man, sexual predator and stuff

January 31, 2023. I stepped off the school bus, which driver Paul drove several special needs students daily to and from school. He was always kind enough to drop me at my 2023 rust orange KIA. I quickly got in, settled with my things, and snapped my safety belt.

Gratitude for all things, but it is not a celebration day for all. Be kind.
