My problem with his prose style (nicely put hehe) is, who does he think he is going to convince with that approach? I understand his frustration, but he isn't helping.

They don't play by "the rule", but their actions are pretty predictable. Beside, I don't react well (or think your thoughts are worth reading) if I am insulted in the first post.

Not too fond of that thread. While there sure is a lot of truth in it, it is also way too vague and broadly simplifying when it suites it's narrative.

I think mobility plays a big part, too. Crossing the pond was not exactly cheap or convenient until not too long ago.

Since this was my turf... I think world design for games is a bit more complicated. It depends on many factors and depending on the world size, I would have appreciated an AI tool to help. But on the other hand, really magical areas need an artist. I actually play a good example for that atm.

Es gibt etwas wie logische Konsequenz. Das ist der ultimative common ground. Wer die ablehnt ist Flacherdler. Wobei es da natürlich eine Schnittmenge mit AfDlern gibt. ;)

Das ist zB ein Punkt, wenn sie Infos ohne Grund ablehnen können, müssen sie akzeptieren das ich das auch kann, was dann wieder zu reinen Logikargumenten führt. Etwas komplexer das ganze, aber geht. Geht natürlich nicht in 2 Minuten.

Das betrifft die hardcore-hansel und ist sicher richtig. Aber die diskutieren auch nicht sondern pöbeln oder predigen. Ich rede eher von den "mitläufern". Die deren Lügen glauben ohne sich selbst richtig informiert zu haben, oder zu können. Mit denen KANN man reden.

Diskussionen nicht aus dem Weg gehen, auch wenn es nervt. Bei diesen Gesprächen beharrlich auf Quellenangabe (zumindest grob) beharren, immer aufkommende logische Fehler aufzeigen. Ihnen nicht erzählen was richtig ist, sondern ihnen zeigen wo ihre Logik- und Informationsprobleme liegen.

Yeah, one of my teachers on technical high school was the same, he worked for Opel and got frustrated because of it, too.
