I’ve had years of struggle so didn’t expect to be perfect immediately but I’ve been surprised how hard it’s been. I’ve been super diligent with physio and seeing him weekly/fortnightly - I think I would be despairing if it wasn’t for his reassurance

I have had no nhs physio either before or after my hip replacement. Thankfully I can afford to pay but would be screwed if I couldn’t! Did get a telephone appointment from the nhs 6 weeks after my op. That’s it.

I was 44 when I had a huge op and was sofa bound for weeks - my brother bought me a switch to keep me busy, with Zelda. I became instantly hooked. My heart rate was being monitored and would drop while I played, it was the weirdest thing, there are bits of excitement in the game but even so!
