I like cats!
RFK Jr wants to kill kids. That is his goal. He did a test run in Samoa and only killed 80 kids. Killing other people's kids is a price most rich people are willing to pay to get their sick fantasies made into reality.

I admit I'm part of the problem. When I realized my personal library was mostly white guys, I started intentionally looking for non white guy authors. Now I'm reading better stories. And oddly enough, I had to read and buy more books when diversifying my library. There's room for more books.

You can turn it off. That choice isn't allowed in Google's search. If you don't want anything to do with AI/LLMs, then I suggest jumping into a time machine. Best we'll be able to do in the present is establish rules and get legislation passed guiding the acceptable use and behavior of this tech.

I switched my search engine to duckduckgo because the Google AI is both intrusive AND maliciously wrong. Yes, I think Google is benefiting from bad AI results or sees the wrong answers as a feature.

Let's base our metric for feeling cold/warm on the freezing point and boiling point of pure water at sea level on earth! That reason makes less sense than some dude sticking a mercury filled tube into his armpit and marking the top of the change as 100!

I wish more people understood this about HSAs and how much of a sham they are for anyone but high wealth households. And the "young and healthy" gimmick only works if you are lucky since the medical bills quickly pile up with this plan for anything beyond an annual checkup.

Just don't order the fries. Or get them well done animal style and then immediately drop them in the garage.

I'd love to continue watching the Wheel of Time or Fallout series, but figure I can just spend that sub money at the local bookstore and read instead. My nostalgia will not pay for an oligarch's second yacht.

These bans seem like the work of a sloppy AI moderation tool.

Show me a "left wing liberal" business program or school anywhere in the US.

Finally. Get rid of the 20% insurance overhead limit. That just incentivizes prices to increase year over year. Requiring 80% of premiums to be spent on care means cost savings are a risk. We won't stop being capitalists so that policy doesn't work in our health system.

Delaying treatment while waiting for insurance decisions allows diseases to advance and progress. A big cost cutting measure would be earlier intervention instead of waiting until more expensive treatment is needed.
November 5, 2025 at 1:21 AM
And to add. It is a waste of resources to have insurance companies employing doctors to second guess doctors. Those doctors could instead be treating patients. And if they aren't qualified to treat patients they have no business evaluating claims.

Employers choosing health plans and contributions being optional is the problem. Everyone needs health care at some point, so having everyone pay makes sense. Also, getting rid of the complex bureaucracy between my doctor and the treatment plan would go a long way to bringing down costs.

So conservapedia version 2.0? This isn't even an original idea.

Are there any studies showing how many large businesses have employees that need SNAP and other benefits? I imagine businesses with lots of employees needing assistance also encourage employees to sign up for assistance. Worse, do businesses that hire folks on public assistance receive tax breaks?

I had that status once. I only had to sit in the middle seat of the back of the plane nearest the lavatory 8 times before I got promoted to that status. Then I got preferential treatment and was able to enjoy the same terrible seats with an occasional upgrade to first class.

Would musical shows count? Like Galavant or Crazy Ex-Girlfriend? There are lots of paths to finding musicals that are quite enjoyable.

If you're gonna suggest an outdated scifi book, the only correct suggestion is "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court".

Didn't wait to coordinate with anyone. Just cancelled. And also not going to Disneyland during the holidays. Now I can spend the savings on some DRM free audiobooks.
September 20, 2025 at 6:26 PM
Already cancelled Disney+ and will not be going to Disneyland for quite some time. I have more time to work on catios and read books.
