William Byron had an incredibly solid season across many categories, including winning the regular-season title. As such, Byron won't let the lack of the series championship diminish the success.

A state audit has led Alabama Governor Kay Ivey to dismiss and replace the entire Motorsports Hall of Fame Commission. In a 56-page report, it listed 35 findings from financial issues to failures in legal compliance and procedures:
