The Muji aluminum kind. It’s light and slim, fits my hand just right and the nib has just enough bounce. I just tweak the nib to be super smooth and a little more generous with the ink.

Someday I might like to re-paint this study on cotton paper. The watercolor ground made it very difficult to get smooth blends, as the paint would lift at the slightest touch. But anyway. #Watercolor + white #gouache master study of Artemisia Gentileschi’s Self-portrait as the Allegory of Painting.

Lil baby Mashed Potatoes has learned to demand we come hang out in the living room with her. She’s claimed this room as her territory, while Mimi has laid claim to the bedroom. She says “meh eh eh!” till we follow her. Anyways I might be sleeping in the living room tonight.

Mashed Potatoes seems to be feeling better after this third round of chemo than she did after the first two. Eating more enthusiastically, socializing, running, jumping, & playing the day after. Idk why, but I’m glad!

Here is a grouper fish I painted. I didn’t film the process because I’m still trying to figure out editing the last things I filmed. If I wait to paint till I can film again, idk when that would be. If anyone has good editing tips, feel free to toss ‘em my way! #watercolor #art #painting

Ugh today Mashed Potatoes seems hungry, but like maybe it’s hurting her mouth when she tries to eat. I looked it up & deoxyrubicin can cause mouth pain/sores. Makes me so sad she has to go through this. I keep trying to find things she’ll eat. She has had some! But avoiding anything she has to chew.
