The biggest issue I have is that they could have gotten a much larger return if they had moved on prior to an offer sheet. Paul Fischer being a top pair d-man someday would be the only thing that saves this for me.

Tough question. Brown was trending upwards for sure. Perry scored 19 but half his goals came when he was playing with Draisaitl. I don’t think he’d get as much time in the top six this year if everyone is playing closer to expectations.

The real test will be how all these extra signings pan out like Tomasek, Hutson, Marjala, Samanski, Carfagna, etc. if any of those hit, definitely optimistic.

I like all of these moves so far. 8 years for Frederic is tough but there’s still a bit of an Edmonton tax for term and he was in demand by a bunch of teams. Likely had to outbid.

I like O’Reilly but he was projected as a 3rd line center. Howard is closer to NHL ready. Frederic and/or Nuge can slide into that role and Hyman, Howard, Mangiapane, Podkolzin & Savoie can fill the wings on the top lines. 2027 1st will be getting used at the deadline for whatever doesn’t work.

Fingers crossed the kids develop. No way we could afford 4x3 for Brown or 3.5 for Perry. You were right about people overpaying (Not these two, but term & salary given out so far has been ridiculous for others)

Make that Stanley Bruce Thomson. Had the last name wrong. He told me a story about how Carmen Madu managed to get a Marvel character named after him. (Kitty Pryde’s father is named Carmen)

Stanley Bruce Johnson co-founded it. He was still a professor at Macewan up until a few years ago. Should still be able to track him down
