I often think the problem really is just me and being awkward, I'm tired of always watching out for online landmines like walking on eggshells so I avoid a lot of spaces online but I'm also lonely so I feel like I let myself get out of social practice :')

20 questions to me more now means "wyd for work" "have any pets" that kind of stuff, idk why those topics feel awkward 💀 I'm always down for trading music and TV/movies tho!

I usually run into the roadblock of wanting to skip the "coke or pepsi" 20 questions type shi but also. How else will I get to know them if I don't? 🥹 I don't fully understand why it feels harder now than it did like 8 yrs ago

It's very frustrating like of course I want peeps with similar interests but also who know when to take breaks from the neverending relentless discourse of the internet and just actually ENJOY those interests and set the digital world down for awhile 😕

I can be pretty bad about ghosting, myself, which is ironic considering I wanna form connections 😭 but also the internet has just generally gotten weirder and everybody wants to argue or be negative and pick things/people apart for dumb shit.

I've heard it referred to as an "explorationship". I just want to have a genuine connection with somebody.

I set it to women only and compared to getting instant multiple messages from men, I haven't had a single hit yet :')

Can we please STOP romanticizing this shit?
