There is a reason I'm passionate about fighting for what is right. Because this beauty exists and I want it to keep existing after the storm. If it was just weather all we would have to do is wait for a sunny day. But it's not. Resist.

It’s tempting to tune it all out—especially when things feel heavy.
But if we stop paying attention just to feel better… what kind of future are we building?

Stay curious. Even when it’s hard.

This is a frightful suggestion but maybe it would work if we let Trump say it was his idea.

The other parts will be on Instagram. @kelliesnider.art

These are part of one long poem. It is hard to record... they make my heart hurt. I'm making them in one-stanza sections to make them fit better on social media, but I will put them all together and post them on YouTube when they are all done.

Interesting thing just happened on Canva while I was making this. Where it says "Steal a page from their playbook, I initially wrote, "Trump's playbook". That wasn't accepted. I tried "MAGA's playbook." Also not accepted.

I got a message each time, "Oops, this generation may not meet our policies.

Would you like to have a signed 5x7 print of Karen Pryor, based on this painting? They are $15 plus shipping.

Karen Pryor (1932-2025) was a behavioral biologist and pioneer in clicker training animals. She was also a marine mammal trainer and expert. She was a mentor to many of us.

This one still has some work to go. Another sad one from my political series called "After the Election".

Inspired by our recent trip to the VA medical center right after the firing of 1000 employees. I took out the many chairs from the waiting room, and set the flag on fire.

This painting is Explaining the Election to Cats. I painted it in the week following the 2024 Election. Everyone was riffing on Vance's dorky comment that some Democrats were like childless cat ladies. Yeah? Are we? Bring it.

The last line says ..."about what Bible you are reading".

But the Bible contains much that isn't kind or generous. Let me just say that I am confused about what dictionary you are reading. Love, anyone?

If you're on TikTok you might have noticed that a post of mine trended. (I'm @kelliesnider.art)
Wouldn't you know that the first time I trend it's not for my art?

I was sufficiently inspired to paint Bishop Budde's portrait.

May we all speak with the courage of our convictions, facing those whose change we need, whether or not we believe the change will come. Because when we bravely speak from a place of loving kindness, we give courage to everyone who hears us. Every voice be raised.

Thank you, Bishop Budde.

I've been reading again. The book is at the end of the video. I'm not a believer, haven't been for years, but when there's something good in the story, why would you pick that part to rewrite?

Oh, yeah. Money. Power. Ego. Greed.

My creative friend, Kelly Bartlett. Kelly and I met at a Horizon UU women's retreat many long time ago. Late 90s? Early 2000s??? She is a clever nugget of the unexpected in a predictable world. (Please look under her hair.)

I am so glad I've now had two opportunities to participate in these art projects about bringing Pittsburgh area educator, Marc Fogel, home from prison in Russia.

I have once again been honored to get to participate in making art in the push to get Pittsburgh area teacher, Marc Fogel home. He is in prison in Russia, but has finally been declared Unlawfully Detained by the US government. This makes it more possible that he will be able to get home soon.

This has always been a treasure... at least since 2007! If you haven't read it, grab the most recent edition, which I think was 2019.

This copy is a first edition, published in 1984. When she signed it, she said, "The new edition is better." But this one is a gem.
