I love him. We all deserve to be loved by someone like Doug. 🩵

Well, evidently he blocked me for responding to your comments. I did enjoy the conversation with you, though. Must be his first day on Twitter. 😆

But also, you don’t need to be a jerk about it. Rarely was there ever just a conversation between 2 people on Twitter, and this app works the same.
January 19, 2025 at 9:36 PM
I think there is an issue with how the platform notifies of replies. If you look at the convo between me and @elizasan.bsky.social , it’s not disjointed. That’s also true of your and her conversation. I got notifications of a reply regardless, so sorry if you felt like it was ‘interjecting’.
January 19, 2025 at 9:35 PM
It appears that perhaps you’re not aware of how Twitter threads work. They are rarely just a back and forth between two individuals. Sorry that you feel like I’m ‘interjecting’ when I responded to @elizasan.bsky.social ‘s comment, but that’s not really how this platform is designed.
January 19, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Huh? You literally responded directly to something I said, which is why I then responded to you.
January 19, 2025 at 9:24 PM
You’re responding to a thread under the main thread by Mark Cuban, which is why your comments are disjointed from ours.

I don’t think this will be a problem for long, honestly. This app works exactly like Twitter prior to Musk. I’m sure there are already several TikTok-like apps in development.
January 19, 2025 at 9:03 PM
Absolutely agree. I can’t blame creators for doing what they have to do to keep their lights on. Staying on TikTok for them is far more practical than political, and I can’t blame them at all for staying while they rebuild their base elsewhere.

But how can a citizen do so when the Supreme Court upheld the ban? This shouldn’t be allowed to happen with the checks and balances in place in our governmental structure.
January 19, 2025 at 8:40 PM
I get that too. It’s kind of like why I won’t buy anything else produced by JK Rowling, but I haven’t yet gotten rid of what I already own. I don’t want her to make any more money off of me, but I also like to keep up with what she’s doing to see if she’s still a terrible person.

California is successful on its own, often in spite of whomever is the governor. It’s a hugely diverse state with a myriad of income streams, and will likely continue to succeed no matter who is in office.

Democrats do *not* want Newsom. Stop trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
January 19, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Totally agree. I misread your first comment, so I amended mine. I’m hoping someone takes @mcuban.bsky.social ‘s offer and creates a new app.
January 19, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Hard pass.
January 19, 2025 at 8:29 PM
I was responding to the comment made by @elizasan.bsky.social regarding how this is disproportionately harming creators. I understand what you’re saying, though, & it’s why I used the word “creator” instead of influencer.
January 19, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Also, Gen Z/Alpha over there learning Mandarin as an additional ‘f you’ to 45 is some pretty epic level trolling. I’m a millennial and I am *obsessed* and in awe of my younger generations.
January 19, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Well said. The creators are the ones who are suffering here, as their small businesses were effectively tanked for a publicity stunt. I don’t know how he really thought Millennials/Gen Z would go along with this & not see right through it.
