IG story posted by @kelleydoes including a post of a tweet saying, “@dineaesthetics: If I’m being honest, I no longer have faith in TikTok, and I’m going to start redirecting my creativity and brilliance elsewhere given that they basically shut down the app for those within the U.S. Empire for about 12-ish hours, despite there being no enforcement and essentially giving an ad for the elected president.

The is regard for our well-being is a major red flag to me, and I hope others have the support to move forward and are inspired to redirect their presence elsewhere.”

Followed by my commentary: “A view worth considering. I personally want to remind everyone that Trump cannot just wave his wand and have the problem go away. He’s only giving an extension.

The only way TikTok can stay is if it either sells (or 50% to a joint venture) to a U.S. company OR get ALL THREE BRANCHES OF GOVT to agree to overturn the law.

The former feels icky and the latter is a huge ask.”

An IG story posted by @kelleydoes as a follow up to the first story, stating, “Let’s not forget that Trump is the reason we’re here in the first place.

I personally will probably check in with TikTok on and off, but I don’t feel confident that it will continue to be a platform we can count on to stay long-term. And if find it hard to put my time, energy, and trust into a platform that might do this same song and dance in 90-days time.”
