It’s been almost half a year since I did my last firing for a variety of reasons, but I just pulled everything out and I’m very happy with what I got. Looking forward to finding the finished look of each of these.

I haven't done much #pottery in about a month after getting discouraged from last attempt and then being busy. But watching Throwdown I got the idea for some square bowls. I just got a slab roller in and tried my hand. Still nervous they're going to completely fall apart.

Well. This happened.
A fun thing to do is fire a kiln on Christmas Eve. That way in the morning you get to “unwrap” it. This was my first glaze firing done by myself and I’m very proud of it. Once I get a chance to get them in the light box I’ll post individual pics. #pottery

Successfully hit cone 04 in my kiln for my first pottery firing. I’ll let it cool overnight and we’ll see in the morning how well it actually went. Time to start planning some glaze recipes.

Had a good evening of throwing some more pottery. Started off by rehydrating some terracotta that felt a little too dry out of the bag and it was some of the smoothest clay I’ve thrown with, ignoring the grog.

Yesterday I hit my 365 day streak on Duolingo. Working my way through German so I can go to Essen eventually and have some idea of what is going on around me.

Yesterday I hit my 365 day streak on Duolingo. Working my way through German so I can go to Essen eventually and have some idea of what is going on around me.
Starting up a Dungeon World game in a couple weeks. Spent a few days creating the map for the start of the campaign. I have a few ideas of what the map is and why things are the way they are, but most of it's blank and waiting for player insight.

Felt good to get downstairs and make some pottery. I took so much time off to put in the sink and such that I got out of sync. Granted, that sink made everything outside of throwing itself so much nicer so I’m glad I did it. Still not convinced this pot will survive trimming, but nice anyway.

First day with the new #Pokémon DLC and I’m loving my shiny candy apple. Very glad I sought out a shiny Applin over the weekend.
