Much like with the reaction to trans people, I think a lot of folks have accepted that they need to conform, and just don’t know what to do with people who say fuck that. Because if nonconforming people aren’t horrible weirdos, then building a life on conformity was never necessary.

“we have too many we keep losing the barricades” is being repeated with increasing levels of panic lol
