This is not to say AI has no place in writing, but what it should be doing is assisting with the tedious bits, like finding the source of a half-remembered item from the 25 sources I consulted, or standardizing a sprawling list of citations, and none of the bits where content is happening

Just checked Dreaming in Code out from the library - someone was just asking me for predictions and timelines, and I was trying to explain that the most common sense tech applications people want, the ones that seem straightforward, are often the hardest to actually execute. Seems on theme!
