I’ve worked at places that set aside a fund for damages. Half of what didn’t get paid out was distributed to employees. Discouraged personal carelessness and motivated employees to encourage others to be mindful as well. I always thought something like that might be effective with police.

I have long thought the DNC should create and support benevolent organizations. If they could provide the structure I believe they could recruit an army of volunteers and plenty of small donations.
