I don’t want billionaires to own the information in this country. If that means I have a “hard on” for them, then so be it. I’m all for chatting, but I’m not interested in spending time with someone that doesn’t feel the need to behave in a decent way.

What? Honestly I thought we were having a regular conversation. I asked you a legitimate question, and we went from there. I’m referring to the most known comparison for social media sites. If Musk buying twitter, Zuck on Meta and Bezos buying the news doesn’t bother us as Americans, it should.

Sure, to be owned by whom? Considering Meta collects and shares the most data of any apps - including with 1,000s of companies across China and Russia. Also studies have shown FB enables radicalization with current algorithms, but that’s just fine? This is a dangerous precedent.

Who do you think they’d sell to if not Musk, Zuck or Bezos? A la, the new American government.

Trying to figure out which law was broken? Legit asking. As I see it, saying it’s okay for our government to mandate that a company sell ownership of that company to our government in order to operate here (while that same govt set an exclusion to stay on the app as is)- that’s a big, huge red flag
