I just remember people being shocked by the destruction that occurred in Crescent City and being glad we'd avoided that.

They kicked everyone off the beaches, but I don't think the waves did any serious damage in Monterey.

Otters are feeling the stoke...

I would not have guessed, hunkered down in the rocks to avoid the cold wind while the adults made endless bird observations, that seeing these notes 50+ years later would make it all suddenly look like fun.

Just got here a few days ago myself... seems kinda nice.
