Do you think a WSL team can win UWCL under this league system. If we are to retain it will be 16 games to get to the final. The WSL results show the load on the players is too great.

Too right. I think Renée got it largely right for Lyon. She went for pace it may be that 2-1 flattered us but their frontline is mighty quick.

Funny you are mostly right. Perhaps not here. Interesting that Kelly is getting shade on Counter Pressed for not tracking back against Lyon. I am certain it was her touch that deflected Bonmati's shot to Daphne and not Steph's early on in the 1st half. short memories. If only CFCW had won the UWCL😀

The strength of the WSL makes rotation more problematic than for the French & Spain sides. Catley spoke well about the UWCL winners medal being the big prize with a world cup and the highlight of her career. We are still in 5 competitions but the Asia Cup is the problem not Sonia's one nil Chelsea.

UWCL Mday1 shows why a WSL team had not won for it for 18 years. Arsenal won it in part as the WSL had already gone. Their leagues give Lyon and Barca the edge as they can fully concentrate on UWCL

My big concern for 25/26 is not Jenna being sidelined but my fear that with pressure to win WSL Renée will revert to Jonas (boring) ball. I could not believe

From memory I think under Slegers we have always had good results with more than 5 days between games.

It is a player welfare issue for ManU (employers) if the club have not got sufficient players to cope with the load. There are players available but perhaps not the quality you hope for.

It is surprising that ManU did not get players in at the start of the transfer window. Hopefully they get thru the UWCL qualifiers as these can be highlights of players careers.

The effect that Mariona has had on Arsenal is fantastic. I doubt that a defender would win the ballon d'Or but I would have Williamson just ahead. The game of her life in the UWCL final and to captain England to a second euros is very special.

That's a good interview considering the subject. This shows that Taylor has a lack of ambition. Could never understand his lack of any sort of anger when City lost to 2 very late Arsenal goals when only needing 1 point to win WSL 23/24. I think Hayes would have been fuming.
