Lady Hawke; oil on canvas; 36X48 inches. A portrait I did of a Cooper's hawk. She was a rescued and released birdie who showed up on our porch one winter looking for help since her hunting skills were a bit sketchy. I helped out and was able to get some decent reference photos.

This is the one I use most often. It went kind of viral at first, so it's a good intro for me.

(re-posting)Masquerade; oil on canvas; 36X48inches. Stopped working on this one almost a decade ago. Thinking of replacing the planets with a field of nebulae and thousands of stars like some of the more current Webb Telescope images.

An older piece: oil on canvas; 30X40 inches. It is called Secret Place. Inspired by memories of a visit to Petra when I was a kid.

Thought I'd repost this. I did this one about 30 years ago: The Iron Door; oil on canvas; 24X36 inches. It is an illustration for a made up story that I never had the time, patience or talent to write, so feel free to make up your own.🙂

Another antique from about a decade ago. Done the old fashion way: oil on canvas; 36X60 inches. Never did come up with a title that really described what I was trying to depict, so I just called it "Angel".

One of the first images that I posted here. It went pretty much unnoticed; now there's about 10 million more Blueskis here, so I'd like to repost it and see if it does better.
It's called Renaissance and is oil on canvas. It's about three years old and measures 12 X 20 inches.

An experiment to see if painting in oils on a plastic lid (that I salvaged from the trash)was feasible. Approx. 8 inches in diameter.
