Part of my work involves using and teaching people to use LLM tools. There are absolutely use cases for GenAI—maybe even a few imperatives. But I ask folks where they want to save time: Generating content up-front, or checking and editing to make sure it's not catastrophically flawed?

Let's assume your (doubtful) generalization. When the AI makes a mistake, or is confronted with a situation it lacks sufficient training data on, how will you know? With zero education, how could you?

If someone lost you money due to reliance on AI, would you accept "I used ChatGPT" as an excuse?
