Excited to be here.
Yeah…maybe. Could be. But I think it’s mostly this kinda thing:

Ok, but Macee Joe instead of Maggie Jo for Joe DiMaggio?
December 6, 2025 at 4:43 AM
I mostly agree (very good defense tonight) except I don’t think it was just one bad shooting night on offense. The ball movement and motion without the ball just isn’t there. It’s like guys don’t know what to do to get open within the flow of the offense.

That’s the thing that gives me hope that this team might survive the SEC schedule and still make the Tournament.
December 3, 2025 at 5:14 AM
What in the John Calipari’s offense is happening?!?!
December 3, 2025 at 4:44 AM
I think Hartline was my preference between the two but I’m a big ol dummy who doesn’t really know ball so I assume that means Stein is actually the right choice?!?! Go Cats.

I don’t know if it’s an exaggeration to say the KSR team has better sources at UofL right now.

It’ll be fine as long as the last name isn’t Kelly.

Idk if Stoops has a mitigation clause in his deal but if Iowa wanted to offset this decision by bringing him home, he’s still decent at coaching defense.
December 1, 2025 at 3:13 AM
I knew he was still there but I thought he was basically like Eddie Gran’s assistant and wasn’t in an actual on-field coaching role.

I’m scared Brian would make him like passing game coordinator or QB coach or some BS.
December 1, 2025 at 3:08 AM
I don’t KNOW this, but I know no one authorized to inquire about Jon Summral’s interest in a potential opening at Kentucky ever called.
December 1, 2025 at 3:05 AM
Oh Lord. He’s gonna put Mike on staff isn’t he?
December 1, 2025 at 3:02 AM
I’d like to think that’s true, but if Kentucky had won yesterday there’s no way they were firing a bowl-bound Mark Stoops?

But Kentucky only has 13 HS commitments and 1 JUCO lined up for Wednesday so it was going to be a portal free-for-all regardless.

Volleyball won a national title and is contending for another. Both soccer teams are great. Tennis has been good. Gymnastics good too.

Conversely, he may have responded appropriately once he was informed, but Barnhart also hired a women’s swim coach who can only be described as a predator.

Kentucky has resource limitations that don’t exist for most of its peers.

That means Kentucky has to be a program that develops coaches or hires smarter.

We have to be willing to lose coaches to richer schools and try again with someone new.

Barnhart isn’t that guy.
November 30, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Barnhart’s future is the other question that makes firing Stoops futile.

Mitch will retire (or otherwise no longer be AD) before the end of the contract for any coach he might hire.

After NIL, what coach worth having will want to deal with a new AD in year 2 or 3?
November 30, 2025 at 8:47 PM
It’s @hollyanderson.bsky.social’s thesis at work.

“Fire Mark Stoops FOR…?”

And then, money for players is still a problem. If Kentucky’s boosters have money in a buyout, where does the program get a competitive NIL budget?

Any new coach worth having wants the NIL question answered first too.

Chris, no.

As a Kentucky fan, I know bad football.

Texas is ass. They just are good at rivalry games.

Vandy is good. They just lost two road games.
November 30, 2025 at 5:35 AM
Unfortunately, I think we need to hope someone else hires Mark Stoops.
November 29, 2025 at 8:29 PM
If Kentucky wanted Sumrall, they had to fire Stoops last year.
