But it's perfectly fine to poo or pee in one.

There's probably other offences regarding disposal of radioactive waste.

The definition of controlled waste for the purposes of the regulations is "any substance which the holder discards" with some exclusions for e.g. facial matter and radioactive waste.

So it's an offence to pour rainwater down a drain.

5%, so they need 32. But that's an or, if a candidate gets 2 affiliate nominations they dont need any CLPs.

That's a ridiculously low threshold. If a candidate can't get 32 CLPs then it's a waste of paper putting them on a ballot.

I look forward to the map being populated over this weekend.

My CLP - Leigh - nominated Powell last night.

These are people who self describe as incels.

This is what you get on the HMRC SDLC online calculator.

Because it doesn't capture the nuance that whilst she doesn't currently own property she is a trustee.

I'm not sure Thatcher herself would ever have been introduced to Hayakism had it not been for Barber crashing the Keynesian/Butskellist car.
July 31, 2025 at 6:47 PM
Surely the end of the postwar consensus runs from the Nixon shock and the end of Bretton Woods.

Were it not for the Barber boom crippling the 1970s UK economy then Thatcherism would never have existed.

Stop the boats, this time the large ones.
July 20, 2025 at 7:21 PM
I'm sure they'll be a furball instead.

It sends the message that there's a spare few £bn down the back of the sofa for political wiggle room.

And that these difficult decisions aren't essential.
July 2, 2025 at 3:38 PM
I think the WFA u-turn did a lot of damage. If you're going to expect MPs back you on difficult decisions then don't u-turn on them after the damage has been done.
July 2, 2025 at 3:35 PM
The difference with this mutiny is that 49 MPs rebelled after they'd already won.

If the key parts of the bill hadn't been pulled they'd be more than 100 rebels.

A relatively small proportion of hiroshima victims died from radiation poisoning. Most of those could have been avoided if they'd known not to drink rainwater.

If you've exceeded LD50 via beta burns it would be very painful indeed.
June 30, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Of course that makes it even more scary. Not because of the risk of fallout etc. But the inevitable rioting & looting that would follow the state itself imploding.

Very little confidence people would keep calm and carry on.
June 30, 2025 at 9:53 PM
The thing about nuclear war is that most of us would survive a large exchange. Most nuclear warheads aren't much bigger than hiroshima, not Castle Bravo yield.

Its like when you see an R2-D2 at a conference, always followed by someone with their hands in the front pocket of their hoodie.
June 28, 2025 at 10:34 AM
Imagine a friend who does nothing but blow smoke up your derrière - and even that is only in the rhetorical sense of the term.

When they've got the Manchester United approach to replacing managers, at some point it must occur that the leader is only a small part of a very big problem.

Yeah I would 100% not upload private information to an LLM.

Openshot is my GPL go to for any videoediting, and has a blur tool. But ive not used that particular tool.

Fine line between cat and ket.
May 31, 2025 at 12:17 PM
If that wasn't criminal the court should be asked to consider if there is in fact an offence in common law of inaudible assault.
May 24, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Presume there's a licence under the Dangerous and Wild Animals act 1976. More concerned if a safe method of work under Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 as there clearly isn't sufficient guarding around that lion.

That's just over 10% of the electorate in those wards, which can very well be plucked from the thin air that is non-voters - especially in local elections.
