Big, positive surprise: the development of a cold, cruel person to a nice, warm, loving character, thanks to the heart-opening sweetness of a child.

I'm ⅔ through "The Violence" and it's a great book so far. Great writing, very intense story, an important topic ... I love reading it in my lunch break every day.
