The team is relaxing a long-held policy of certain types of gear glamour only being equip-able by certain roles. "Use any gear in your glamour, irrespective of class, job or level restriction." However, weapons/tools are exempt due to animations.

That shit is written so broadly, it technically would even hit Baldurs Gate, WoW Hunter class, Mechromancer from BL2, etc.
As long as the existence of the pet initiates battle, and not your own character.
