Election polls are however looking good. Orbans Fidesz party is trailing and the gap seems to be widening. However, a lot can still happen. Elections will be held april 2026.

Ukraine is going through a very difficult time but dont give up, because russia is in a hard place too. Ulrals crude oil prices are way lower then what russia needs!
November 24, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Why is this not a bigger news story? For the last 5 months, ural oil price has come down in total with 22 dollar, 4.40 per month. Current price at 52.80. It really only takes a couple of months before russia runs out of funds.

WTI Crude oil today at 57,50. Price now at it lowest since 4,5 years (februari 01 2021). Since 1 year is the trend minus 1.17 dollar per month.

It would be a waste to give up now...
November 20, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Crude oil testing new lows, price today 59 dollar per barrel. Russia is in a hurry to get a peace agreement they can sell at home but whatever the peace deal, it will be to late to prevent a giant economic downturn.
November 19, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Sorry but these are misleading statistics. The scale of your graph is max 30 million dollars. The exports from NL to russia have dropped since 2022 from 2000 million to around 450 million euros.
November 18, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Yesterday Urals crude oil performed even worse. Drop of 4.8% to 53 dollars per barrel.
November 13, 2025 at 8:22 AM
Urals oil fell on 12 november with 4.8% (!) to 53 dollars per barrel.
November 13, 2025 at 8:19 AM
And the russian crude price followed. Current price (without discounts) 53 dollar a barrel. Russian budget is based upon 60 dollars.
November 13, 2025 at 8:17 AM
Ever heard of the story of the USSR in afganistan? Today WTI oil price dropped 3.5%.

Russian urals oil seems to be decoupled from the benchmark WTI. At the end of both graphs you can see the correlation disappear between the two. Of course, this has nothing to do with the new sanctions, because sanctions dont work and are even counterproductive, according to Putin and Orban.

Already 5 years wasted, let alone corrected for inflation.

In 2024 werd de energiebelasting op 70ct per m3 gezet. De inval in oekraine was 2022. De belasting in 2022 bedroeg 36ct. Dus de enormd prijsstijging in 2022 is wel degelijk gekomen door de oorlog.
October 27, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Sanctions dont work, because look at the stock markets for example.
October 24, 2025 at 9:24 PM
And how does the russian stock market perform compared to the sanctioning countries? Because I heard it only makes the Russian economy stronger and it does more hurt to the sanctioning countries?
October 24, 2025 at 9:22 PM
More important than export volumes is crude price, and that doesnt look good...
October 20, 2025 at 9:28 AM
Tomahawks or not, things are not looking well for russia. Budget assumed 70 dollars a barrel. Current oil price 57 dollar a barrel. Russia has to sell at a discount.
October 17, 2025 at 7:57 AM
Russia is entering a world of hurt...
