Also! Google Maps is a god-send for getting around. It will tell you exactly what train lines to use, what platforms to be at, what time trains will be there, and if they're delayed. It will tell you how many stops to ride through, and even update your position on a little timeline with stop names 👌

Definitely get a Welcome Suica card at the airport if you're staying less than 30 days! It makes public transit a breeze - just tap in and tap out at the subway gates and buses, and you can refill it at machines at stations and I think just about any conbini
