To my understanding, when @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social is sworn in, her vote will make 218. So if the 217 stay a yes, it won’t matter who win’s Tennessee because they are still at 218 for the discharge petition which is a simple majority.

218 is if all seats are filled and everyone is present to vote. The outcome of this seat is irrelevant if everyone that is a yes stays a yes.

218 is still the simple majority when all seats are filled and everyone is present to vote. @thetnholler.bsky.social is this correct because if the votes can’t be cancelled out, this is a very misleading and disappointing post you have made.

Scott Bessent, they have agreed to by 12 million metric tons. In 2023 China purchased between 24 and 27 million metric tons. This number is decreasing every year because China is purchasing more from Brazil. This is not a deal. Our farmers are still being fucked over.
