Ive been an RN for decades and whenever I meet a new hospitalized patient foe the first time I always ask them what brought them to the hospital even if above already read the chart and think I know. Context is valuable.

Back in the day I had to play a gig with the puking flu. I blew chow in the middle of a song. At least I had a PA stack to hide behind while doing it. I was playing in a country band at the time. Had it been a metal gig I could have made it part of the show.

That is the exact reason they go after farm and factory migrants and not criminals. Migrants are soft targets. Criminals are dangerous.

Back in the day, there was a "mean old nurse" that newbs would shit their pants when they knew that had to report off to. That nurse was the fastest/easiest one for me to report to. It was the PNS1 (Post Nursing School) who was often the PITA asking 20 questions.
