Personally, I'd hold off whilst europe remains...well, you know...bankrupt.

E6 billion seems a bit steep for meals in the EU restaurant and use of the EU toilets.

Bezos is a holder of 8% of Amazon, if that's what you mean by "owner."

I don't think it's there any more - but, in fairness, it's part of a brand in all sizes, and I can see how given the ambiguity of language "ho" might be cute derivative (however, it might be used in common parlance).

Besides, Amz sells stuff people buy. If people didn't buy, it wouldn't be sold.

And a very sexy Srdjan Zelenovic in Andy Warhol's Frankenstein.

Gratitude is the language of the man who beats his wife every Tuesday. It's the boss who reneiges on a pay rise. It's the government who insist you've never had it so good.

It's the discourse of the cunt.
November 16, 2025 at 2:26 PM
One might note, I suppose, that gratitutde reinforces hierarchy, discourages justice-oriented thinking, as well as pressuring people to inauthentic emotions. Outside of that, the slimy obsequiousness leads to avoidance, depression and distorts boundaries.

Only once you're arrived at intellectual resistence, using this simple, three-point method, are you able to enact resistence both through symbolic counter-action in public staging, and through institutional platforms for shadow policy.
November 16, 2025 at 2:20 PM
to resistence: immanent critique (using the language of your opponent to mark the self-contradiction of their approach); the psychoanalytical critique (why do certain symbolic, inequitous acts continue, despite their contradiction); ideology critique - how does the psychic reinforce market share.
November 16, 2025 at 2:20 PM
resistence - in and of itself - gets you precisely no-where; which, of course, is one of the Woke's main faults. Merely to claim epistemic primacy (my theory and values are better than yours) is circular and (as a structuralist might note) self-generating.

There is, then, a three-layered approach

I would be happy to have Rayner as leader of the party.
November 16, 2025 at 1:32 PM
gratitude is a form of verbal sodomy, of course.

I guess this kind of enforced unctious, sycophantic shite is what happens as the East gradually inveigles itself into the zeitgeist of occidental cynicism.

maybe filter them out using an agentic model before "life stories" of this nature was harvested for social media?
November 15, 2025 at 1:03 PM
I appreciate this is her story. I also appreciate this story says a lot about the lack of self-esteem felt by those abused early in life...
However, Guardian, there's an ick factor in these posts where armchair warriors sit in judgement on people - can you avoid these particular types of post?

Regarding Sweeney herself - actually (a slight revision on the first comment) - I don't think she's ever hinted at anything especially reactionary, and she's entitled to vote for anyone she wants to (regardless of the knarly childish comments of Ruby Rose, et al)

mostly because of English-language media, though.

The problem with Iceland is not enough serial killers. More serial killers, more successful dramas like Trapped, more icelandic language.

You live on a volcano.
Reaching for your inner púki shouldn't be difficult.

I don't detect too much nourishment in US-based animations, on terrestial TV, tbh

Woke is lazy and ... well... just plain wrong, unless you're just trying to get your egoistical rocks off (well, you are a Guardian journalist, of course).
November 15, 2025 at 8:40 AM
plenty that's wrong with Sweeney's reactionary politics - but nothing in terms of her critique of Woke.

For those interested (Jason), I've rejigged by audio on Gothic Marxism (this version is a little drier, but still accessible), with a critique of woke at 7mins in.
