I'm up to chapter 8 of this incredible book by #CharlotteProudman right now and one thing has really stuck out to me:
Of the multiple women's stories of VAWG included, not one of the men has been convicted for being an abuser.
None.
They're still out there, hiding in plain sight.

We need @statesassembly.bsky.social to wake up & not delay passing legislation to protect women & girls.
Being told that there's nothing anyone can do because laws weren't in place is invalidating, disempowering, & frankly dangerous.
