I'm amped to, eventually, show what I've done for 2.3 thus far because I seriously think it's the coolest shit I've ever made. Was in a huge creative pit after 2.2 came out and it's good to finally break my limits as a builder.
Maybe there'll be a spoiler image showing that off soon... who knows...

It taught me a lot and helped me break out of the comfort zone I'd settled into for much of 2.2, which was simple repeating patterns and rigid shapes. At the time I wasn't suuuper happy with it, but looking back, it's a pretty cool build.

And finally - Drehmal's tower in Ytaj. This remains the hardest build I've ever had to make because of the scale and detail required. I did not do the surrounding towers nor the interior, JUST the exterior of the main middle tower.

SUPER GIGA SPOILERS
Ironically, this build is one of my happy places because I'm so pleased with how it turned out lol. At the time I felt like I still really struggled with organics and this showed that I can absolutely do organics. Also, fun fact: I made this in 3 days and surprised the dev team.

honestly I could probably do an entire thread on JUST the Aphelion. It's a really special build for a ton of reasons.

!!!GIGA SPOILERS!!!
The Aphelion! There's a LOT of history behind this build, but for me it was my first real megabuild. I did the exterior minus the ring, and most of the interiors. While it didn't evolve my style much, it was an important milestone in scale, and I ofc have a deep attachment to it.

The Foundry bridge was actually one of the first builds made for 2.2, and since we didn't have a good idea of the scope yet, I felt like I could really go all out on the detail. It's pretty simple nowadays but I think the sense of scale and the "ruination" has become another staple of my builds.

This may seem super random, but THIS room in the Resonant Halls is where my style really came to form. Just the layered arches and use of depth is something that's come to define my builds. If you ever see something with these patterns in Drehmal, there's a 90% chance I made it lol

Sal'Mevir was my first real "megabuild", but I use that term loosely cause it's mostly just repeated assets. Still really like it though! It's a bit outdated today, but it's where I was starting to find my signature style of repeating arch patterns lol. You see a LOOOOT of that in 2.2.

Rift helped big time with this one but I did most of the exterior work and planning. I seriously think this remains one of the best builds in the map to this day. I made this over the span of 3 days after the Witcher 3 Blood & Wine's Beauclair put me in a frenzy. Dusps is still so peak man

Fast forwarding a few years - Drehmal 2.0 was made very efficiently, meaning I didn't put much time into super high quality builds, so the original release never really reflected my skill as a builder. But one place I felt actually DID was Dusps.

So up to this point, my builds had conformed to a 5x5 or 7x7 grid with little deviation. This was one of the first times I really tried to push past that, and while it's not too flashy, it's a very cute and cozy home that I'm still proud of. This was initially made in a friend's survival server.

Some random goofy house I made, but I was really proud of it. It was the first time I'd really tried to make something less 'rigid' and more 'organic', hence the ramshackle look, but I'd yet to find my own style at the time and was kinda just aping the Wynncraft/Grian build style lol.

The unruined Exodus Citadel, originally made as a concept for a survival base I'd always wanted to do, a retrofitted Ocean Monument (yes, this is my best pic of it). This was one of the largest build projects I'd done up to that point. Sadly I don't remember much more, this was 7? 8 years ago?

no it's something different we already got that covered months ago dw
