I finished my first Wharton today. This is a fantastically written book. I felt all the emotions.

This was OUTSTANDING! A quick read/listen and brilliant as an introduction to what the issue with sexism and misogyny is but also for those who have a lot of knowledge to have a quick consolidation. Loved it. Laura Bates has a great writing style. Deeply informative

I hit the jackpot today. My local train station have a book table where you can put your finished book and pick up a new one, for free. I've been meaning to buy this book a while and lo and behold what was there when I went up to swap one this morning? Yay!!

This is my lap. This is the FIRST time this has ever happened. The cat is 2.5 yrs old having been with us from rescue from four months. We have no idea what total hell he was born into. We've loved him and made him safe since but he's never been a petting/lap cat. I am so lucky today

Having an education is not woke, FFS. They simply want to destroy critical thinking ability. Why can't folk see what's going on!?

Day 27 #bookchallenge

Book to read once per year. Well, I don't have one tbh. But I like to read a decent self-reflection book once a year and also books that ground me to nature. This one is good.

This is supposed to be biography you think everyone should read..
I love reading biographies. From Mandela, to Monroe to Kevin Bridges I've read a lot. It's really good to hear about people's lives & what shaped them. Pamela Anderson was one of the most moving

Day 25 #bookchallenge

A book with a villain you actually love. Love is a strong word but I do feel a lot of empathy for Bertha Rochester in Jane Eyre. Fabulous book

Day 24 #bookchallenge A collaboration between two authors. I don't think I've actually read any apart from those written by ghost writers but this is one I definitely want to read "A phoenix first must burn"

Day 22 #bookchallenge
A LGBTQ+ love story
I've picked How to be you: Jeffrey Marsh. It's a self help book but allows folks, esp teens to understand who they are & love themselves, from an LGBTQ perspective but one that works for everyone. Wish it had been about when I was young.
