Right? I feel like a big part of the poverty mindset is seeing money as a negative or something that just causes trouble. That's why I love that book - he gets at that mindset in a really cool way. It's about defining what a "rich life" means to YOU, then using money as a tool to get there.

For me it was a mix of the (lack of) knowledge but also the psychological elements. Like, one of the big things was letting myself feel okay with buying nice things for myself. Not even crazy expensive or anything, just nice, you know? Had a mental block for years with that.

Ever read the book I Will Teach You To Be Rich? It's based on identifying what you actually want your money to do for you, not just the mindless accumulation of more. And it does a great job on the psychology side of things because he actually has empathy, unlike assholes like Dave Ramsey.

Unreal. Sadly my reps are actively on board with all this.
Financial literacy takes a while, especially if you grew up without much money. The psychology is honestly the hardest adjustment because the poverty mindset gets buried deep.
