Framing what he spent his career doing as "the right way to do things" is whitewashing. Charlie Kirk peddled in misinformation and hate. Just because he's dead doesn't retroactively make that respectable. Violence is wrong and Charlie Kirk was a bad man that made the world a more dangerous place.

I did read the article. I don't think that lionizing Charlie Kirk's influence helps us at this point. Just because he's dead doesn't mean his propaganda machine doxxing random teachers was fine and correct, actually. We can comdemn political violence without whitewashing Charlie Kirk.

This is pathetic. Nobody was posting like this when two politicians were killed 3 months ago. Or when kids were killed right after this. Violence is wrong, don't kill people, but why on earth are we lionizing Charlie Kirk as if he wasn't pushing evil and dangerous bad faith arguments all the time?
