Celebrations in order! I've just submitted the completed manuscript 1st draft of a book about this strange man. Friedrich Nietzsche was, it seems, a prophet. There's some difficult stuff to read but he predicted the mess we're in, that's for certain.

I’ve found the letter. I couldn’t find anything about it when I last looked- but that was 8 years ago!

I’ll leave this here to raise a smile or two. My grand puppy Bailey. Yes, a maltipoo in a beret. Got an easel and some brushes anyone? #dogs #dogsofbluesky

Fabulous winter walk at Thorpeness. Teddy the dog taking us on a long, winding and very beautiful journey across heathland, through trees and along the seashore. Suffolk is beautiful.

Any thoughts about bookshops starting on here? We’ve come off Meta/x but didn’t know if people would want bookshop talk? Glad of your thoughts.

Cormac the Irish Terrier visited Framlingham Books today. #dogsinbookshops is always fun. Our stock of dog treats for literary pups is always topped up 🦮

Or this one? I've been out of practice on #familyhistory document deciphering so I'd be glad of some help.

#genealogy and #familyhistory (or paleology) pals on here. Or anyone in fact. Can you decipher the beginning of this phrase? From Gt Grandfather rep to poor law and settlement papers 1873 when his wife was admitted as a lunatic. Thanks in advance!

How do people with tiny dogs get any work done?!! They go back to my daughter on Friday and we’ll miss them but work? Forget it 🙄

Skeletal shapes in a frosty landscape. Our garden feels like Narnia. I’m expecting to be stolen away and offered Turkish Delight at any moment…

I’m a #westham fan. Have been for 50 years. Many seasons of torture perhaps, but this one is dire in a new and horrible way…

I read 52 books in 2024, challenging myself to focus on #classiccrime Many were @britishlibrary.bsky.social Not bad, as I had lots of proofreading on, but in retrospect, too much of a good thing. I’m raiding the shelves of our bookshop this year…

Life is challenging. My
resolution for 2025? Be more Teddy. Not worrying about his health, or the world in flames, just loving sun on his face and new year chip scraps…

This is what waking up is like at the moment, as we dogsit our two tiny grandpuppies. Our two are remarkably tolerant. It’s all rather lovely, as #depression has crept back in, work is impossible and these moments are precious.

Pet sitting my daughter’s two tiny dogs for three weeks whilst she is in Australia. I must look after them on pain of immediate ostracism. We managed to get her and her brother into adulthood, but this has me worried 😧 #puppies #anxiety

No prizes for my icing skills but it might be edible…

First year with an Arctic Lodgepole pine tree. Our original Nordman went all brown so we had to change it. SO different but I’m falling in love with it…

How have I lived my life without Nietzsche's aphoristic language? He practically invented 'influencer' speak. "Nobody can build you the bridge over which you must cross the river of life, nobody but you alone" . #philosophy #writing

Framlingham Bookshop where I work (lucky me!) also sells my husband’s pottery. It’s a proper indie family affair as its owned by bro in law Chris please use shops like ours at Christmas- it’s vital and keeps us afloat 🥰 #booksky #pottery

I have just had this come back in an online memory. 7 years!!! My book is still selling and I'm still giving talks on it but I haven't aged nearly as well as it has! #histmed

Look what’s arrived- a Ngaio Marsh to read again. That’s my evening sorted ☕️ #crimefiction #classic #booksky

This is where I work (and work whilst working) three glorious days a week, surrounded by #secondhand (preloved, vintage, collectible or just enjoyable) books. Bookshops are therapy. #booksky

Me and my favourite poet. Not the best statue of #Keats imo. He looks too old to be the early twenty something he was at Guys hospital. But I love a visit. Any links to good poetry profiles much appreciated!
