Commission staff say after a settlement the average monthly bill increase will be lower: only around $8 for customers along the Peninsula and less for customers in northwest Florida. But, estimates vary depending on electric usage and the year rate hikes are triggered.

Florida Powe & Light (FPL) provides power to 6 million customers. The rate hike will result in about $18 more/monthly bill
