Is there a secular alternative to Adventures In Odyssey? An audio, drama series made for kids but without any evangelical trauma attached to it?

I asked my husband how much pepper I would need to put on my meal before he intervened and he said not only would he never intervene, if he saw me eating a heaping spoon full of only pepper he would only think "oh good, I'm glad someone is eating the pepper".

I am so deeply offended every time someone at work says "we can use chat gpt to fix that language". No we can't, if you give me 2 minutes I can draft something better than chat gpt AND we wouldn't be burning up the ozone.

I sometimes forget that my husband was raised very religious in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere and his exposure to early 00s pop music was limited. I just found out this man had never heard a Dashboard Confessional song before????

These fireworks are going to wake up my baby and I have to figure out a way to be okay with this because currently I am not okay with this.

Last mother's day I felt like it didn't count for me because I was barely a mom. Just now my toddler came over to me just to wipe his nose on my pants. It counts this year.

Really sick and tired of my friends, who are smart and fucking hard workers, all losing their jobs.

Every age my son has been has been my favorite (except you - 4 months old 👎). My current favorite things about this age are: he has started turning around and sitting himself in my lap when he wants to read, he has a higher pitcher voice that's just when referring to our cat, and he says "uh oh".

Songs that calm my son down and put him to sleep: 1. Pink Pony Club. 2. The Presidents Song.

My husband is having a bad day, but I just found out they are doing a repressing of the Pride and Prejudice movie soundtrack for the 20th anniversary and I need to tell him that I need to have it.

Sticking with the theme. Today was a bad day. But I did end the day by blowing up balloons for my son's first birthday party. This helps.

Everything is horrible and awful and lots of horrible things are happening to people I know and like and also horrible things are happening to people I don't know (and some people I don't like). Today really sucked.

Every episode of I, Survived is some guy talking about how he almost killed himself while doing something stupid and some girl talking about how a man almost killed her just because she existed.

In case anyone isn't on Facebook, the Kendrick halftime show was not a hit with the white, Midwestern Aunts demographic.

I have liked every single Travis/Taylor Alchemy edit I've seen in the last 24 hours, but you'll never convince me that The Alchemy is 100% about Travis. That man does not know the difference between heroin and heroine.

There's nothing quite like being woken up at 4 a.m. to the sounds of your dog vomiting.

I love sharing things with my husband, I really do. But there is something so beautiful about the fact that my parents dropped off a plate of chocolate mint brownies and he detests mint flavored things. Desserts for just me.

When I log out for work in the evenings knowing I'll be back at work the next morning I'm going to start calling it going on a "work ban".

Yes, I'm new to bluesky. Yes, I'm posting a lot. I got rid of Twitter eons ago, but in my prime I was very prolific. And I need some form of procrastination from reading the book I said I was going to read now that tiktok is gone.
January 19, 2025 at 4:35 AM
Disabling tiktok at 10:30 on a Saturday is such a dick move. Couldn't you have taken your cue from the election and let me go to sleep like normal and then wake up disappointed?
January 19, 2025 at 4:34 AM
Every day this week I have had to wake up my kid. But today, on a Saturday, he's up before the sun. 😮‍💨

Please believe me when I say I have never cared about any celebrity drama less than I care about the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni bullshit. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Gonna say it now and see if it changes after I re-watch: but I liked the finale of LOST. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Fun fact, melty gorgonzola smells exactly like vomit.
