I’d probably run a grow from seeds operation after making seed segmentations of a few “roots”, some “matrix” and a sample of the air. Depends which program!

That’s the one, though there is a handy “reverse” tickbox there to correct mirroring ☺️

Yes that's exactly it, sometimes I'll have to resample and overwrite the volume if a process consistently crashes the program. Can swap back after, or rescale elsewhere.
Doesn't affect your segmentations as they're just co-ord based binary label maps that adapt to the voxels they ocupy. Save first!

It's a nightmare without the SlicerMorph extension, at least then you can neatly rescale as you go! It is still hilariously RAM hungry...
