I’m also wondering if this is a weird way to circle back to opiates? If none of the OTC traditional pain killers are good for you, then I guess may as well do morphine? Or something. Idk but it feels like they’re moving in this direction.

Thoughtful and pertinent - my heart aches for the CoE. It’s not easy to make space for all, but space does need to be made for you, too.

Like I distinctly remember the messaging being like “no this is regular private health insurance like you always got, but now it’s cheaper hint hint” without actually really explaining *why* it’s cheaper and who’s paying for that.

So much of it stems from trying to brand ACA as “not Medicaid/gov’t handout healthcare” and not “hey it’s government healthcare and that’s good, actually”. (But also why we should have just gone with single payer…)

I guess probably offering the blessing, unless that gets given to the other person getting ordained (or I’ve seen it done by multiple ordinands before).

I generally use traditional but I really like alternating. Now that I’m in a trad-only church I actually miss contemp, which I didn’t think I would.
