As the end of 2024 rolls near, it is time for RPG year recap and some statistics. It was a year of my first GMing at a con, year I finally GMed Alas for the Awful Sea to name some achievements.

Finally got some proper experience playing ttrpg with small kids (6 and 8 yo) and it's special, an awesome one. Magical Kitties Save the Day is great for this, easy to understand, easy to create a memorable cat with specific focus, even for a first grader. We saved the library and it was epic!

To deal with the turmoil of today I'm thinking to plan a game for January, it would be a Good Society expansion, but can't decide whether a Hammer Horror Poe inspired gothic story at haunted secluded mansion or a silly lighter dual identity vigilante spy story in Paris or London or Prague 🤔

Strange for me, most story games are by definition one-shots (like Alice is Missing, Rusalka or Protocol), but I am going with GUMSHOE - mystery/case system fits nicely, especially for horror. But 2-3 sessions please.

Strange for me, most story games are by definition one-shots (like Alice is Missing, Rusalka or Protocol), but I am going with GUMSHOE - mystery/case system fits nicely, especially for horror. But 2-3 sessions please.

I'm going to skip writing a blog about it, but I have a dream of a perfect discord bot, that would handle game organisation with sign ups, automatic role assigning and most importantly automatic calendar embed that is adjustable. User friendly.
