👗 thanks again for all you do. What I learned from HCR today: the Senate can ignore the parliamentarian's recommendations. That said, Thune and some others may breathe sighs of relief that they can get out of clauses they don't like without having to do it themselves and take the heat...

Done and shared. I'm immunocompromised with two young kids. I have a hard enough time with all the crazy viruses they bring home. Anything to reduce their viral load even a little bit keeps me safer.

I get that the practice undermines someone's message, but TBH I don't need pure altruism from my leaders; go ahead and seed a presidential bid if it incentivizes them to fight even harder and louder for the right things. I'd rather have someone invested in there BEING another presidential race.

The other intent is to signal to his base that the judiciary is deep state/lib, so they don't yell when he disobeys a judge's order. He's seeding the narrative. At this point, he wins even if she's exonerated, because that's just extra "proof" that she and the rest of the judiciary are corrup.
